Women who lose their hair due to chemotherapy can now buy affordable hair extensions rather than rely on a wig.
Hair loss is often considered one of the worst aspects of cancer treatment, severely affecting a woman’s self esteem.
Now, one company which makes hair extensions is offering a subsidised service for cancer patients.
The cost of a full head of extensions will start at £150 and, because the hair is reusable, it should last between six and 12 months. Women who have hair two inches or longer are eligible.
The company is looking for 100 women to take part in a pilot of the programme.
Once completed, the service will be rolled out to about 5,000 salons in the UK and it is hoped it will be offered through the NHS.

The response level to local and national disasters is noble but it’s a damn shame that so many people take advantage of the negative situations.
I mean everytime there is an earthquake, a flood, an oil spill – there’s always a group of heartless people who rip off tax payers.
